The Suicide Notes![]() I croon in the Suicide Notes. |
Go listen to Howie Hotknife, Jessi Lixx and Tim on our good friend Roxy’s EGO HOUR tonight at 5pm on KPSU radio talking about a certain show w/The Satin Chaps and Cecilia und die Sauerkrauts! After you’re all hot and bothered from THAT go over to houseofsound.org and have the pleasure of seducing your ear-holes to Facing the Music with DJ HWY 7 and The GhosTrain (6-8PST) to get a taste of our test pressing of “Hey Baby” that’s coming out on Hovercraft Records!!
So…House of Sound is a free-form radio station in Portland. Here you can listen to the sweet sounds of Portland’s own DJ HWY 7 and The GhostTrain on Facing the Music on Mondays from 6-8. It so happens that the HoS will be holding a fundraiser at the Fez tomorrow (7/6/11) featuring all local radness. Thee Headliners, The Needful Longings*and Welcome Home Walker. DJ HWY 7 will also be there providing some sweet sounds to seduce your earballs…so, you know what that means? I’ll be there. Dancing, drinking and then dancing some more!
*The Needful Longings are Sean Croghan (Crackerbash, Jr. High), Chris Slusarenko (Guided By Voices, Boston Spaceships), Jim Talstra (The Dharma Bums, Maroons) and Paulie Pulverenti (Jr. High, Elliott Smith).
My friend DJ HWY 7 has a radio show with his partner in crime, The GhostTrain. Listen to their Valentine Day show at House of Sound. This show made my night…and in case you’re wondering why Ted Hawkins - There Stands the Glass was played and who the shout out to “Party Time” is towards the end of the show…well, that’s me. I am Party Time.
The following is stolen from their facebook page:
