If you haven’t seen this documentary on The Gits, you should. It’s pretty wonderful, moving and inspiring. This was a time when grunge was making a name for itself and a punk band was on the verge of blowing up on the world. Their story unravels when Mia Zapata is tragically raped and murdered. But, don’t let that get you down. Feel her empowerment, grab a pen and go out and do something beautiful.
